Sharon Gray, MA, CMC, MFT Sharon Gray, co-founder of Bay Area GCM, has 18 years of experience working closely with older adults on the Peninsula. She is a California Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Care Manager Certified (CMC) with the National Association of Certified Care Managers (NACCM). Prior to working in a professional capacity for seniors and families with aging parents she worked ten years as a privately hired caregiver -hired by the older adults themselves. Today, she carries the respect, dedication, and passion she learned from her earlier work into the present as she continues to learn from all those she serves.

 

 

Charlotte St. James, CGCM Charlotte St. James co-founded Bay Area GCM, now devotes her time to working closely with individuals experiencing emerging memory loss as well as those living with advanced Alzheimer’s Disease. Her approach combines traditional care management, activities that enhance brain function, and the time and attention needed to bond with her clients. This relationship of trust allows Charlotte to help her clients benefit from a customized plan which aims to slow the progression & effects of brain disorder on one’s daily living. Charlotte is the oldest of eleven and brings a unique sensitivity, compassionate, relational expression to her work with seniors.

 

Sharon and Charlotte both earned their masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, in Palo Alto,California, and certificates in Applied Social Gerontology from San Jose State University, California. Both women strongly believe in the on-going giving back to the community by personally volunteering their time to support the efforts of various organizations. Currently, Sharon is volunteering with the Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County and Charlotte offers educational lectures on optimizing brain health. Past volunteering included: Rosener House Adult Day Support, San Carlos Adult Community Center, Meals on Wheels program, Pathways Hospice and Alzheimer’s Association.
